Hazchem

Reassurance from a Hazchem founder member
Since 2005, John Hackling (Transport) Ltd and the Hazchem Network have offered hazardous goods customers the reassurance of safe, flexible, next-day UK delivery for palletised ADR materials including the following:
  • Bagged product on pallets
  • IBC liquid containers
  • Variously sized palletised drums
  • Palletised Gas Cylinders, Aerosols and Dewar vessels
  • Polybulks
  • Carton traffic on pallets
  • ADR parcels
Whatever the Hazchem delivery, Hacklings customers enjoy extra reassurance from our participation in the recently introduced Hazchem Emergency Response Service (HERS). This is a voluntary marking and support scheme designed to assist emergency response at incidents involving the transport of packaged dangerous goods by road. It complements the existing European ADR Regulations, GB Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations and GB Hazchem plates.

Convenience, service and peace of mind
Hacklings palletised Hazchem deliveries integrate with the Hazchem Network’s real-time IT tracking system and purpose-designed hub in Rugby. The hub, with segregated areas for packaged liquids, gases and solid chemicals, is managed by professional transport chemists with special experience in the carriage of dangerous goods.

For added peace of mind we also operate a bespoke UN Number database, Tremcard Software and Chemdata (developed with the National Chemical Emergency Centre at Culham and Deltion Software) to provide instant chemical data for all Hazchem Network pallets.

Meeting the special needs of dangerous goods transportation
The Hazchem Network was formed in response to chemical manufacturers’ requirements for technically robust delivery of ADR products, and to ensure regulatory compliance in terms of safety, security and environmental awareness during palletised chemical distribution. What’s more, COMAH regulations, tightening of ADR, and European trends towards higher value/lower volume chemical products mean that many chemical companies need to move smaller consignments more frequently.

Daily Hazchem collections
For customers’ peace of mind and to meet the increasingly rigorous requirements for hazardous material transport, Hacklings has invested in specialised ADR training for its personnel (including warehouse staff). Customer ADR consignments will be in the safest possible hands all the way from source to delivery.

Along with daily Hazchem collections from Gloucestershire (GL), Oxfordshire (OX), Wiltshire (SN), Berkshire (RG) and Bristol/Avonmouth (BS) addresses, this further demonstrates our commitment to safe palletised ADR distribution. What’s more, over 40 local ADR transport specialists work with us to ensure safe, timely delivery of consignments.

Peace of mind, flexibility and reliability
We regularly carry the following Hazchem classes:

  • Class 3 flammable liquids
  • Class 4 flammable solids
